I was born in St. Louis, Missouri and lived there until I was 8 years old. Living in St.Louis pushed me to become a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. I love to follow sports and have been a devoted Tennessee Titans fan since the Rams left St.Louis. When I was 8 years old we movedto Grayslake, Illinois. This is located about an hour north of Chicago on the Wisconsin/Illinois border. I then lived in Grayslake until I went off to college in 2011. I attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) and obtained a bachelor's degree in biology in 2015. Whileattending SIUE I was Vice President of the biology club, a member of the chiropractic club, and Vice President of my fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma. I also met my lovely wife Charlee during my freshman year of college at SIUE and we were married in 2016.
After graduating with my undergraduate degree, I went on to attend Chiropractic school at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Chiropractic was actually founded in Davenport by Dr. Palmer. Palmer was the first Chiropractic school to ever be created. While at Palmer I treated many different patients including infants, older children, and adults of all ages. During Chiropractic school, I was involved in the motion palpation club, the activator club, and was a business ambassador for the business center while also obtaining certification in Activator, Thompson, Flexion Distraction, Gonstead, and Diversified techniques. I Graduated from Palmer in February of 2019 earning a degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
My interest in chiropractic began when I was in high-school. While in high-school I
played many sports including football, lacrosse, and basketball. When I was 16 I had a sports-related injury causing low back pain. The pain was so bad I could not sit for longer than 10 minutes without being in severe pain. My parents, who had both been going to a Chiropractor since they were teenagers, took me to the Chiropractor to get looked at. The Chiropractor gave me an adjustment and explained what he was doing and what chiropractic was all about. After each visit, my interest in chiropractic grew and my back pain got better. After my 4th and final visit for my back injury, I was no longer in pain and was very interested in learning more about the field of chiropractic care. I shadowed the doctor later that year and attended his event on career day. After this point, knew that I wanted to become a Chiropractor so that I to could help people feel better and improve their lives in the same ways that this doctor helped me
Throughout chiropractic school,I was met with many decisions. After my wife and I got married we started to think about life after chiropractic school. We had always talked about living in the south since we met in college. After a couple ofps to Tennessee, we knew this was where we wanted to settle down and raise a family. We are thrilled to have finally made this dream a reality and are so happy to be enjoying Tennessee with our son Thomas and our dog Rusty. The beautiful views, big mountains, warmer weather and nicer people are all a big part of that. We both love to go hiking and explore nature. I also love to go hunting and fishing during my free time, which I hope to be able to do a lot of here.
I first met Dr. Crawford and Dr. Allen in 2017 when I was looking for jobs in Tennessee. They told me about an opportunity when I finished school in Jamestown. When I got to Jamestown I was impressed with the team and care that was offered here. The town is pretty, surrounded by lots of nature and away from all of the city life. It is a good fit for me and I am very excited to start seeing patients and hopefully improving the lives of those in my care. I am very happy to be apart of such an amazing team and look forward to the many years ahead.
